In your position as Mastclimber and Hoist Installer, you will play a key role in installing, dismantling and maintaining our hire fleet of rack and pinion construction Mastclimbers and Hoists. Your duties will include: Attending on site delivering installations to customers specifications, completing and maintaining all appropriate documentation.

Ideal Candidate

Will have experience in installing mastclimbers/hoists/cranes/lifts
IPAF Installer ticket for mastclimbers/CSCS Hoist Installer ticket/ CPA and other qualifications are desirable
SSSTS or SMSTS ticket – not essential as full training provided
Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude.

To succeed as a Mastclimber & Hoist Installer you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

• Have a demonstrated background in the construction Mastclimber and hoist industry
• Hold a current / valid CSCS card / NVQ in Hoist Installation or equivalent
• Have proven working at height experience
• Have proven harness experience / training
• Clear communication & and reporting skills
• Must be flexible to work away from home occasionally, as the business requires
• Able to work as part of a team
• Must be prepares to work in external conditions, at height throughout the year.

The following skills are advantageous but not essential at this stage

• CPCS Slinger / Signaller Qualification
• Hoist Manufacturers product training
• Rescue / Harness / Working at Height Training
• Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with hoists or other lifting equipment and understand the challenges that come with working at height.

Due to significant business growth, we are looking for an experienced Scaffolding Contracts Manager to join our team based in Belfast. Proven experience is essential, you must be able to demonstrate knowledge in the industry and that you can manage our clients across Ireland.

Job description and Responsibilities

• Ability to carry-out supervisor and estimator roles & responsibilities.
• Demonstrated through previous experience.
• Manage inquiries and respond efficiently, managing customers’ expectations.
• Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to commencement of works.
• Site surveying/estimating.
• Carry- out Toolbox Talks
• Assist Accounts with commercial settlement.
• Organise Labour and Logistics for various tasks daily, including works schedule.
• Monitor Handover procedures.
• Prepare price work sheets for payment.
• Attend Weekly/Monthly in-house meetings,
• Assist with business development.
• Always safeguard the Company’s interests
• Making sure projects completed on time and within budget.

About the candidate

• Previous experience in Scaffolding management of Small to large industrial,
• Commercial and Domestic project
• Demonstrate Previous experience in Scaffolding Sector
• Must hold CISRS Advanced card.
• SMSTS, NEBOSH construction would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines including CDM regulations
• Commercially Aware
• Strong Leadership Skills
• Ability to manage and build strong working relationships.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexible self- starter with ability to prioritise.

Join Our Team At Rockcastle

The job:

• Onsite servicing Mast-climbers & Hoists throughout Ireland.
• Reporting to Operations Manager
• To ensure prompt and accurate completion of associated paperwork, recording recommendations and/or material requirements accordingly
• To make recommendations of replacement parts and materials
• To work to the highest standard and in full compliance with statutory legislation.
• Hours of work Monday – Thurs 8am to 5pm, Fri 8am – 2pm
• Fortnightly paid.

The person:

• Will have experience in some or all of the following would be advantageous but not essential…
  Servicing electric motors and gearboxes.
• Working with site cranes in maintenance department.
• Servicing MEWPs.
• Service inspections etc on lifts/elevators in building.
• Must have electrical and or mechanical background.
• Access equipment experience.
• Preferably will hold current qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Must be able to work on own initiative as well as a team player.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home on occasions.
• Clean full license.
• On site experience.
